Hi,
As mentioned in the earlier posts, this is one first of the pending ones to be completed.
Here it goes ....
Those Eyes ...
Picking up grocery at a store one day,
Came across a face, full of charm and delight,
Long black hair, and a sweet smile,
Her eyes adorable, and full of life.
Gazing at the long lashes, and her vivid eyes,
Suddenly things around seemed so nice,
That intriguing pair had cast a spell,
Certainly, they could even sparkle the hell.
Star struck was I, in the middle of the store,
All the oceans couldn't match the depth in her eyes, for sure,
Wanted to go and complement her,
Her eyes deserved adoration, by men of past, present and the future.
Having said nothing, I stood in the billing line,
To my utter surprise, her grocery cart was adjacent to mine,
The cashier gained momentum as more people lined,
The queue moved quite fast, and time was running up.
Her turn came, and it was quickly done,
This was my chance to say something or forget the one,
People gathered around and I lost courage,
The cashier smiled as he billed for the sausage.
She looked at me while leaving the store,
I gazed at her as if nothing mattered more,
Those fading looks marked the end of my obsession,
O Lord!, Her eyes, her prized possession.
Thinking about the day, I'll cherish one moment forever,
When I could see me, reflecting in those eyes, crystal clear.
